Marquette vs. Stonehill: How to watch, odds, likely starters and a prediction

The Marquette Golden Eagles (6-0) return from their one-game trip to the Bahamas to Fiserv Forum to play Stonehill (4-4) on Wednesday at 8 p.m.

David Joplin stays hot from the Bahamas

MU senior David Joplin scored a career-high 29 points against Georgia in the Bahamas.

He stayed hot in the first half against Stonehill, scoring 20 points on 8-for-9 shooting as the Golden Eagles took a 51-31 halftime lead.

Damarius Owens shows his first flashes

The MU coaching staff likes the potential of freshman Damarius Owens, but he was slowed by a toe injury he suffered a week before the regular season.

The 6-foot-7 guard made his debut at Maryland, then played five minutes against Purdue and nine minutes against Georgia.

He showed his versatility shortly after checking in against Stonehill. He dropped a nice bounce pass to Caedin Hamilton to score, then drained three three-pointers in a row.

Shaka Smart uses a lot of substitutes at the start of the game

In the first nine minutes, MU coach Shaka Smart made generous substitutions and used ten players.

This is an unusual substitution pattern for the Golden Eagles, who were often in the starting lineup, especially against top-class teams
