The winners of the Gam3 Awards 2024 have been crowned. 21 winners were announced at a live event in collaboration with Yield Guild Games (YGG).

This year’s prize pool was $5 million, up from $2 million at last year’s awards.

Off the Grid, a high-end battle royale game, was named Game of the Year. Organizers said this year’s winners were a celebration of how far the Web3 gaming industry has come.

The winners were announced during the two-hour in-person event in Manila and on all major live streaming platforms. Each game, content creator and ecosystem managed to rise to the top of their category and stand out from their competitors based on the progress made over the last 12 months.

Prices and partners

Updates for the Gam3 Awards 2024 included the increased prize pool of $5 million, consisting of grants, products, services, marketing and blockchain support from partners such as AWS, XAI, Thirdweb, Aethir and Community Gaming among others Finalists to help winners grow even further.

This represents a significant increase over previous years and underlines our event’s commitment to supporting and promoting the next generation of Web3 games. In addition to YGG, Gam3 has also collaborated with Arbitrum, Magic Eden, Immutable, Avalanche and Skale to make this year’s event even bigger and better than previous years.

Jury and voting

This year’s jury consisted of over 70 prominent figures in traditional and blockchain gaming, including many returning judges from previous ceremonies. The diverse panel included representatives from major companies such as Amazon, Google, Samsung, Ubisoft, Animoca Brands, Immutable, Arbitrum, Blockchain Game Alliance (BGA), Base, Ronin and Avalanche, as well as content creators and major media companies such as GamesBeat /VentureBeat. Similar to previous years, the jury’s votes in the voting process made up 90% of the final decision, with the community making up the remaining 10% in most categories, with the exception of People’s Choice and Best Content Creator, both of which were 100% Community voting based. and Games’ Choice, which is based on shortlisted game studios voting for their favorite title game.

Diploma

Organizers said this year’s GAM3 Awards is the most significant event in Web3 gaming to date and is a celebration of the entire industry, showcasing the industry’s best games, studios and innovators. With over 300 in-person attendees, viewers were able to experience gameplay premieres and exclusive premiere trailers from the best games in the industry. Organizers said this is all evidence of the bright future of Web3 gaming heading into 2025 and the event is expected to take place for the fourth consecutive year next November.
