Man hospitalized after argument leads to stabbing at South Side drugstore

CHICAGO – A man was hospitalized Wednesday afternoon after an argument led to a stabbing at a store on the city’s south side.

The incident occurred just before 1:30 p.m. at a Walgreens in the 9100 block of South Commercial Avenue in the South Chicago neighborhood.

Officials said the victim, a 35-year-old man, got into an argument with another person who then pulled out a knife and stabbed the man.

After the stabbing, the perpetrator fled the scene in a silver Dodge minivan.

According to police, the victim suffered a laceration to his left shoulder and was taken to the hospital where he was listed in good condition.
