Lea Salonga returns to Sesame Street for the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade

Lea Salonga returns to Sesame Street for the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade

For many, Thanksgiving is a time for loved ones to come together, even if they haven’t seen each other in a while. And in the case of Sesame Street‘S forty-eighth Appearing in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, it will be a reunion more than three decades in the making.

This year’s guest on the 1-2-3 Sesame Street float is none other than Tony Award-winning actress and singer Lea Salonga. It was last published on Sesame Street back in episode 3154, which aired in 1993. In the episode, Salonga sang “A Little Bit” to teach a duck to sing. And luckily for all of us, this clip just happens to be on YouTube!

Similar to previous years, the lineup of characters that will be on the float is unknown, but if tradition is any indication, we’ll likely see long-time mainstays like Big Bird, Elmo, Cookie Monster, Abby Cadabby, and Oscar the Grouch. Who knows? Herry Monster could be there! This would be a real Thanksgiving treat!

The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade begins on Thursday, November 28th at 8:30 a.m. Eastern Time. You can watch the official television broadcast on NBC and Peacock.
