Morgan Freeman, 87, turns heads as he goes out for an incognito dinner in LA

Morgan Freeman’s fans are used to seeing the actor walk the red carpet or command attention on the big screen.

But on November 24, he hung up his tuxedo for a casual appearance in Santa Monica.

Morgan was photographed outside the famous Italian restaurant Giorgio Baldi wearing a baseball cap, flannel shirt, pants and sandals with socks.

On his left hand he wore a cream-colored compression glove, which he had spoken about in the past.

The 87-year-old revealed that his hand was paralyzed after a serious car accident in 2008.

“I suffered nerve damage and it hasn’t gotten better. I can’t move it,” he told People two years after the accident.

“If you don’t move your hand, it swells. Did you know that you move your hand about a million times a day?”

Morgan said it too esquire that the pain “shoots up and down the arm,” and this is sometimes the case “torturous.”

The accident occurred in Mississippi and he had to be extricated from the vehicle by emergency responders and flown to the hospital. His vehicle rolled over several times and he was lucky to be alive.

Despite the serious accident, Morgan recovered and is still working in his 80s.

He has several upcoming projects including Comes 2 America And Defeat.

Morgan says making films is “safer” than being on stage

However, he sticks with filmmaking because he confessed that in recent years he was on stage and forgot his lines.

Morgan described the moment as “terrifying” and said his mind went blank in front of the audience.

He became famous relatively late in his life and was almost 50 when he received Oscar nominations Street Smart And I’m driving Miss Daisy.

He has a brilliant career

Morgan has had a number of box office successes – his total box office revenue now tops $11 billion – but he’s also had his fair share of flops.

His 2015 thriller Momentum recouped the sum of £46 ($57) in its opening weekend in the UK. It cost $20 million to make.

He is currently playing in Lioness 2 alongside Nicole Kidman and Zoe Saldana and he speaks candidly about why he took the role.
