Brest coach Eric Roy watched his team’s Champions League clash against Barcelona and says his team has nothing to lose.

The French are so far unbeaten in the Champions League, which Roy says has taken some of the pressure off his players ahead of the trip to Montjuic.

But Roy has to face a “wounded animal” after Barca stumbled against Real Sociedad and Celta in recent weeks.

“We are the surprise of the Champions League. We are now on the map. That’s something to be proud of. Nobody in France bet on us. We silenced the critics. We have ten points. “That takes a lot of pressure off of us,” he said at a press conference.

“We are facing a major challenge. It’s something we pinch ourselves with. I told the players that we have to keep believing in ourselves. We hope we can continue to show what we can do against Barcelona. We will face the European ogre and now they are a wounded animal.”

Roy also took time to praise Raphinha and said he was aware that Barcelona had not won this season without Lamine Yamal.

“Well, Raphinha will be there. I love his football. He is the captain of Barça. One of their most dangerous players. And there is also Olmo, Lewandowski, Pedri,” he added.

“We hope our defense plays a great game. It’s true that Barcelona haven’t won since that little genius (Yamal) was injured, but I wish he would play. We want to play against the best.”

Barcelona are heavy favorites to win on Tuesday night but know they cannot underestimate Brest if they want to take all three points.
