The Vanderpump Rules cast is rebooting for season 12 after Scandoval

Vanderpump Rules is completely changing its cast after the recent Scandoval debacle. Season 12 of the Bravo show will feature SUR owner Lisa Vanderpump and a whole new group of close-knit employees.

“The last 12 years of filming have been an extraordinary series filled with laughter, tears and everything in between,” Vanderpump said in a statement Tuesday. “I can’t thank those who shared their lives enough. How I love you all. In the catering industry, one layer always gives way to another. Cheers to the next generation of Vanderpump Rules.”

“What a thrill it is to build on the legacy of this series by doing it all again,” added Alex Baskin, executive producer of 32 Flavors. “With great appreciation for the original group and their legendary run, we can’t wait for audiences to see a dynamic new group of colleagues and friends make their way through life together.”

Production on Season 12 will begin next year, with the premiere date and cast to be announced at a later date. In addition to introducing a new group of SUR employees, the season will also include a retrospective special highlighting the heartbreaks, friendship conflicts and scandals of the first 11 seasons.

Cheekily known as “Scandoval,” the defining drama of the final seasons of “Vanderpump Rules” actually occurred in season 10. At that time, actor Tom Sandoval was said to have cheated on his long-time girlfriend Ariana Madix, another cast member of the series. Adding to the drama, Sandoval cheated on her with fellow cast member Raquel Leviss, the ex-fiancée of James Kennedy, another Vanderpump star. The whole ordeal was incredibly chaotic and spread from television screens to tabloid sites and social media posts. Although Sandoval and Madix returned for season 11, Leviss was not there.

32 Flavors and Evolution Media produce “Vanderpump Rules.” The series is executive produced by Barry Poznick, Jenn Levy, Joe Kingsley, Ken Todd, Baskin and Vanderpump. It is available to stream on Peacock.
