It’s the cozy home where Cameron Diaz’s Amanda, who normally lives in Los Angeles, spends some time after swapping apartments with usual resident, Kate Winslet’s Iris. Your intention is to get over a breakup.

Although the origins of the house were never a secret, Law made this clear when he visited BBC Radio 2 The Zoe Ball Breakfast Show Recently, right around this time, people are re-watching what has become a holiday favorite — at least for romantic comedy fans.

After one of the hosts asked if the cottage could be used via Airbnb, he explained, “This cottage doesn’t exist.” It wasn’t what they wanted to hear about their “dream home.”

Law, who plays Iris’ brother and Amanda’s love interest, admitted he “just burst the bubble. I’m sorry!”

Then he told the backstory.

“Well, the director, she’s a bit of a perfectionist,” Law said of Nancy Meyers, who is known for her beautiful homes, particularly kitchens, which she also stars in films like ” It’s complicatedwith Meryl Streep and Diane Keaton Something has to give. “I looked around the whole area and couldn’t quite find the chocolate house she was looking for. But there was at least one optimist, or perhaps someone just coming to terms with the truth, which is as cold as England can be at this time of year. “I don’t mind at all! See, I actually prefer it if the cottage isn’t real and isn’t available to rent… I feel like that keeps it magical.”

Although you can’t necessarily stay at the Rosehill Cottage from the film, there is something similar. Or, you know, you could just watch The holiday again.
