AMC is issuing a stern warning to those watching “Wicked.”

AMC Theaters isn’t playing around when it comes to releasing the highly anticipated “Wicked: Part One.”

The theater chain reminds people that singing along is not allowed in the film in its 3-second note featuring AMC’s trademark “Silence is Golden.”

AMC spokesman Ryan Noonan said in a statement to The Indianapolis Star this week that the chain has “a long-standing policy prohibiting disruptive behavior.”

He also said that AMC’s “Wicked” pre-show spot “echoes the film’s themes as an entertaining and compelling reminder to moviegoers not to disrupt the experience for those around them while they enjoy the show.”

“No talking. No texting. No singing. No whining. No flirting,” says a spokesperson for the spot, which is humorously tailored to moments from the upcoming Broadway film adaptation. “And absolutely no name calling. Enjoy the magic of the films.”

A fan’s TikTok post warned users that audience singing during the film will be “worse than you’d expect” and generated more than 500,000 views.

“I hated the idea of my first viewing of this being ruined by raucous singing along before the screening… I just wanted to be able to experience everything the first time,” one Reddit user wrote in a comment.
