Boston wants to bounce back before Turkey Day

Boston wants to bounce back before Turkey Day

The Bruins are looking for a win on Wednesday before diving into Thanksgiving festivities.

Thanks to Jake DeBrusk’s game-winning goal, Boston suffered a narrow defeat against the Vancouver Canucks. Interim coach Joe Sacco’s team will quickly turn things around when they take on the New York Islanders at UBS Arena for the second night in a row.

The B’s didn’t hold a morning skate because of the back-to-back set. Sacco hasn’t committed to goalkeeping plans beyond Tuesday, but Joonas Korpisalo is expected to be called up to replace Jeremy Swayman. Tyler Johnson and Jordan Osterle were healthy against the Canucks, so they will be options if Sacco decides to switch lines.

New York is expected to bring back defenseman Alexander Romanov after he missed Monday’s loss to the Detroit Red Wings due to illness.

Puck drop for the Bruins-Islanders is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET, and you can catch full coverage on NESN starting with the pregame at 6:30 p.m.
