The Los Angeles Chargers have some former Baltimore Ravens players and a coach on the team who want to have an impact on Monday Night Football.

Additionally, Chargers running backs Gus Edwards, JK Dobbins and offensive coordinator Greg Roman may have the information they need to topple their former team in NFL Week 12.

With linebacker Roquan Smith out, Roman will likely be stuck with a large number of runs to establish the Chargers’ offensive attack. Dobbins ranks 9th in rushing touchdowns in the NFL this season, with his longest rush of the season being 61 yards. Roman also knows that the Ravens’ secondary has been a horror for 12 weeks and Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert is starting to make strides at the optimal time.

Dobbins was inactive during the Ravens’ stretch late last season, but Edwards’ use was minimized by the stubbornness of Ravens offensive coordinator Todd Monken. Chargers head coach Jim Harbaugh is unlikely to make the same mistake since he has already delegated 52 runs to his No. 2 running back on the depth chart.

Finally, Roman is very familiar with Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson’s dual-threat ability and could provide his colleagues with information on how to prevent Jackson’s scramble ability. The Chargers’ defense ranks 10th in opposing yards allowed per game, just behind the Pittsburgh Steelers, who held the Ravens to just 16 total points last week.

After being released by the Ravens, it would be an illusion to believe that Dobbins, Roman and Edwards aren’t all trying to avenge their vitality by defeating the Ravens on Monday Night Football in NFL Week 12
