A dry day is expected for Wednesday. But there will be rain, winter mix and snow on Thanksgiving Day. Road conditions are likely to worsen throughout the day. It will be brighter and drier again on Friday and much of the weekend.

Aside from a few mountain thunderstorms or snow showers far to the north, roads appear to be dry on Wednesday.

The next storm system moves in on Thanksgiving Day, with snow, mix and rain throughout the day on Thursday, with heaviest in the afternoon hours.

Low pressure is moving toward New Hampshire with rain, wintry mix and snow. The track will be close enough to bring heavy weather throughout Thanksgiving with light rain and snow in the morning, with some slippery spots possible on untreated surfaces, then heaviest snow, mixing and rain in the afternoon and evening before tapering off late in the evening and the first part of the overnight stay.

Expected snowfall: At this time there appears to be little to no snow along the coast and within approximately 15 to 20 miles of the coast. A light accumulation of snow following the rain in the lower Merrimack Valley south of Manchester and then possibly a few inches of snow north and west of Manchester in places like Concord and Jaffrey and north of Rochester. Based on the storm’s current track, 5 to 9 inches of snow is likely from portions of the Monadnock region north to Sunapee and Plymouth and then east/northeast to the northern Lakes Region and into the White Mountains. Any shift in the expected storm track will result in a change in expected snow amounts. So stay tuned for updates throughout Wednesday through Thanksgiving morning.
