With the endless price hikes and suppression of password sharing, I think we’re all starting to question which streaming services are worth it. Well, these Black Friday sales offer the opportunity to sign up for new services (or those you previously canceled) at the lowest prices you’ll get all year. After the summer price increases, I cut most of my streaming subscriptions in hopes of getting better deals, and luckily I was right.

As sales go live at Hulu, Max, Peacock, and more, here’s the main roundup of the best Black Friday streaming deals available right now.

The best Black Friday streaming deals yet

Hulu and Disney+ deals

We’ve officially confirmed Hulu’s Black Friday deals: New subscribers can get a full year of Hulu (with ads) for $0.99/month (was $9.99/month) or a full year of Hulu and Disney+ bundle (with ads) for $2.99/month (was $10.99/month).

Hulu recently added Alien: Romulus to a library that includes Adult Swim’s catalog as well as top-rated sitcoms like Always Sunny and New Girl. Meanwhile, Deadpool & Wolverine just dropped on Disney+, which continues to host all things Disney, Star Wars, Marvel, and National Geographic.

If you sign up for Hulu or are already a subscriber, you can also get the Starz add-on (think Outlander, John Wick and The Hunger Games) for the same price: one year for 0 $.99/month.

Max Black Friday Sale

Get the first 6 months of Max (with ads) for $2.99/month, offer ends December 2nd.

Max has launched its only Black Friday sale: six months of Max (with ads) for $2.99/month. An ad-supported Max subscription typically costs $9.99/month, so you’ll save $7 per month, for a total savings of $42 over the six-month period.

Max is home to HBO and Max originals, with recent releases including The Penguin, The Last of Us and House of the Dragon. Max also has the full catalog of Studio Ghibli and Harry Potter films, as well as recent blockbusters such as Dune: Part Two and Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga. Yes, it’s hard to miss.

Peacock Offers

Peacock Black Friday Sale

Get a full year of Peacock (with ads) for $19.99 OR 6 months for $1.99/month. Offer ends December 2nd.

From now through December 2nd, you can sign up for 12 months of Peacock (with ads) for $19.99, saving you a whopping $50. Existing Peacock free plan subscribers can also use the promo code “REALDEAL” to upgrade, but unfortunately the offer is not available to existing paying subscribers. If a year is too long for you, you can also try it for six months at $1.99/month.

This is by far the best streaming option for live sports: Peacock has the NFL, Premier League, Big Ten Football and WWE. The NBC-owned platform also hosts new releases like “Twisters” and, of course, sitcoms like “The Office,” “Parks and Rec” and “Brooklyn Nine-Nine.” With the entire Bravo catalog, it’s also my favorite streaming service for reality TV.

Paramount+ deals

Paramount+ Black Friday Sale

Get the first 2 months of Paramount+ Essential (with ads) OR Paramount+ with Showtime (ad-free) for $2.99/month, offer ends December 4th.

Paramount+ offers two different streaming plans, and you can currently sign up for either for $2.99 for the first two months. The Paramount+ Essential plan is ad-supported and typically costs $7.99/month, while the Paramount+ with Showtime package is ad-free and typically costs $12.99/month. The Paramount+ and Showtime package is one of the few ad-free streaming offerings I’ve seen so far.

Both plans include access to the full catalog of Paramount films, from classics like Gladiator to new releases like Transformers One and Top Gun: Maverick. Paramount has also launched original series such as “Evil,” which ended this year, and the upcoming “Dexter” sequel. Both streaming plans include live coverage of the NFL and UEFA Champions League, and the Showtime package includes 24/7 access to your local CBS station.

Prime Video deals

Prime Video Black Friday Sale

50% off on-demand shows and movies and discounts on channel add-ons, offer ends December 2nd.

While Amazon hasn’t discounted its Prime Video subscription, the retail giant has slashed prices on pretty much everything available to rent or buy on-demand. If you’ve been waiting to buy a niche movie that isn’t streaming anywhere, now’s your chance. If you’re already subscribed to Prime Video, you can also enjoy discounts on channel add-ons, including Crunchyroll, for just $2/month.

Will Netflix have a Black Friday sale?

If there’s one streaming service known for price hikes rather than discounts, it’s Netflix. If you’ve been waiting for a Black Friday deal from the streaming giant, I hate to break this news to you: Netflix has never offered a Black Friday sale on subscriptions, and I doubt 2024 will be the year that changes. These prices remain the same.

Black Friday deals on streaming bundles

If you want to combine services, the Paramount+ with Showtime offering (no ads) and the Hulu and Disney+ offerings (with ads) are the main streaming packages on offer. If you already have Prime Video (included with a Prime subscription), you can get add-ons that include full libraries from services like Starz and Crunchyroll at a discounted price.

Will streaming deals be better on Black Friday?

There may be more streaming deals announced by other services throughout the week, but I doubt any of these folks’ offerings will get any better. Most of these deals are valid until December 2nd, so they’ll likely cover both the Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales events.
