Morgan Freeman, 87, looks bright and radiant after health concerns

Morgan Freeman looked lively while having dinner with his loved ones in California.

The 87-year-old Oscar winner, who caused concern last December, appeared to be in good health as he strolled down the path outside Italian restaurant Giorgio Baldi in Santa Monica.

On Sunday evening he wore a gray checked shirt, dark trousers and comfortable sandals.

His look was completed with a dark blue baseball cap to ensure a certain level of anonymity at the celebrity hangout.

Freeman also wore a cream compression glove, which he used to relieve symptoms of nerve damage he suffered after being rescued from a car accident in 2008.

The Shawshank Redemption star is often seen wearing gloves these days, like during an appearance on The Jennifer Hudson Show last month.

A photo on Instagram showed him also wearing it while filming an upcoming project with his producing partner Lori McCreary.

“Just a normal day at the office,” McCreary had written in the caption of a photo of Freeman standing in a living room in a sharp blue linen suit, his hands – one gloved – carefully folded behind his back as he looked into the camera looked.

Freeman has been open about how his condition affects his daily life, telling Esquire in a 2012 interview, “It’s the fibromyalgia.” Up and down the arm. That’s where it gets so bad. Horrible.’

He worried fans last December when it emerged he walked cautiously as he carefully climbed into an SUV with a companion after an appearance on talk show The View.

The video went viral amid speculation about his health – even though the 86-year-old had gently slid into a large vehicle and did not require any assistance.

“Morgan is in good health,” a spokesperson for the star later confirmed.

Even though Freeman is rarely seen out and about outside of publicity appearances, the star keeps a very busy schedule.

In September, he was on hand to present fellow actor Clint Eastwood with a special award at the 2024 Monterey Jazz Festival.

Alongside a picture of himself in a leisure suit and Eastwood in a plaid shirt and fleece, with McCreary in the middle, Freeman wrote on Instagram: “It was a great pleasure to present my friend Clint Eastwood with the inaugural Clint Eastwood Award for Culture. “ Leading at the @MontereyJazzFestival last weekend.

“Clint is a true musician: pianist, composer and jazz lover!” We had a wonderful time listening to the incredible music of Kyle Eastwood and Mavis Staples!’

The pair starred together in Eastwood’s 1992 Western Unforgiven and worked together on 2005’s “Million Dollar Baby” – the film for which Freeman won his Oscar – and 2009’s “Invictus,” where 94-year-old Eastwood Freeman as Nelson Mandela directed.

So far this year, Freeman has appeared in My Dead Friend Zoe and Gunner and in the second season of Lioness alongside Nicole Kidman and Zoe Saldana.

He’s also set to return in Now You See Me 3 as Thaddeus Bradley, set to hit theaters in November 2025.
