Paris Hilton celebrated the 18th anniversary of the iconic paparazzi snap of her riding with Lindsay Lohan and Britney Spears.

“18 years ago today, this photo became the moment that defined an era,” she wrote via Instagram on Wednesday, sharing the image.

“@BritneySpears, @LindsayLohan and I – the Holy Trinity. Instantly iconic ✨ #LovesIt 💖 #Sliving #Y2K 🚙💋.”

The snap was originally taken in November 2006 while leaving a party at the Beverly Hills Hotel in Los Angeles.

Although the three are seen laughing in the car, Hilton revealed in 2021 that it was actually an awkward moment for her because she and Lohan had an argument.

The now 43-year-old explained on her podcast This is Paris that the photos were taken after a pap asked her about a video in which Lohan claimed she hit her.

She said: “(Spears and I) walked to the car and were suddenly swarmed by tons of paparazzi. Just as we were walking to the car, Lindsay came up to us. It was a little awkward because we had some drama.”

“That’s when I saw Lindsay walking towards us and said, ‘Why don’t you just ask her?'” the “Stars are Blind” singer recalled.

“And Lindsay said… ‘No, Paris would never hit me.’ I’ve known her since I was 15.’ Basically it was just a matter of not admitting what she had done. It was quite uncomfortable to be asked that question and it was just strange how the whole thing happened.”

Hilton added that the next moment she looked over and saw the now 38-year-old Mean Girls star in her car.

“We didn’t get along, so I was polite,” she said. “It was really hard to even get out there because I couldn’t see anything with all the cameras.”

The “Simple Life” alum claimed she and Lohan were “close friends” before, but “she did some things that really hurt me, betrayed my trust and caused a lot of drama.”

“So we weren’t friends anymore and it was kind of an on-again, off-again friendship,” she added.

However, the mother of two noted that the discord was due to age. At the time, Lohan was 20 and Hilton was 25.

“But now that I think about it, we were just so young and immature. “It was like a high school drama, especially in the LA scene, and playing it out in the public while the media was constantly trying to stir things up and make things worse than they were,” Hilton explained.

“Back then, the media really enjoyed seeing girls fight with each other.”

This isn’t the first time Hilton has celebrated the now-iconic snap, as she recreated it in 2019 with a Queen Elizabeth II impersonator and a Spears lookalike.
