Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are taking a different approach to improving their tarnished image, according to a royal commentator.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are reportedly in the midst of a professional breakup, with recent reports suggesting their working relationship is in “a very poor state.”

In a desperate attempt to repair their public image, the pair have opted for an “experimental” PR route, making public appearances alone, according to royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams.

“This is obviously a new tactic. As with any brand, the Sussexes want to promote their brand as much as possible,” Fitzwilliams told GB News.

“They tried something that worked on the so-called royal tours of Nigeria and Colombia. Then we have the solo engagements, so they’re experimenting.”

“The Sussexes need to keep their profile as they can’t attack the royal family at the moment, so they now need to think of new means,” he added.

In fact, both Harry, 40, and the “Suits” alum, 43, have been spotted at various solo events in recent months.

Harry attended a series of Invictus Games-related events in Vancouver, Canada this week, while Markle was spotted alongside her celebrity friends at a beauty launch event without her husband.

However, the pair appeared in a joint video earlier this month in honor of Veterans Day – with Harry admitting the couple had been at a “crossroads” professionally in recent weeks.

In their joint video appearance, the two discussed prioritizing children’s online safety through their Archewell Foundation. It was the first time they had been seen together in months.

“When it comes to Invictus and the personal touch, there’s no question that it works, certainly with Harry,” Fitzwilliams continued.

“Obviously they think going alone is working well at the moment. It depends on what your goal is, Harry will be launching his Polo series soon.”

The Post has reached out to reps for the Sussexes for comment.

The pair are expected to compete in the 2025 Invictus Games in Canada, which will take place from February 8 to 16. The event will take place 18 months after the 2023 event in Germany.

At last year’s Games, Markle hinted that the couple would bring their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, to the next event.
