Milan took care of business in Bratislava, Rafael Leão putting them 2-1 ahead before Tammy Abraham capitalized on an unfortunate back pass to make the final score 3-0. In Prague, Sparta lost 0-4 to Atlético, Álvarez (again) and Griezmann scored the goals in the second half.

Arsenal’s last eight away games in Europe have brought one win, three draws and four defeats; They have not scored a single goal in their last four trips to the continent. As one of its most famous alumni would say: Problem!

Big problem? Not yet. Arsenal have seven points and sit 12th in the huge Champions League table; They will certainly progress, but this game will determine whether they make it through the playoffs, which will make for more difficult away games. As you may have heard, Sporting lost coach Ruben Amorim, but they are still a goal threat and have previous chances. The first of Arsenal’s eight away games came in Lisbon, a 2-2 draw in the Europa League that resulted in a penalty shootout defeat at the Emirates.

There may be lots of entertainment and relatively low stakes in Portugal, but Bayern Munich vs PSG is another story. The Parisians have been the weakest in the Ligue 1 quartet so far and are below the red line in 25th (!) place, with difficult games still ahead of them. Bayern aren’t doing much better, The Opening win 9-2 against Dinamo Zagreb, followed by two defeats in a row, meaning the Croatian side are now above them in mid-table. Oh Vinny!
