Twitch has just blocked Asmongold, one of its biggest critics, from the exposé stream

One of Twitch’s biggest critics was banned from the platform ahead of his planned exposé stream with Asmongold.

Twitch has been under fire for over a month over allegations of anti-Semitism on the site. The controversy began after users discovered that account logins in Israel had been blocked since the October 7, 2023 attacks.

Democratic Rep. Ritchie Torres then called on Twitch to “stop popularizing those who popularize anti-Semitism,” highlighting Hasan’s political content in particular.

Dan Saltman has been one of X’s most vocal users, calling for Twitch CEO Dan Clancy’s resignation while also urging companies to stop advertising. This appears to have been successful, as more than ten major companies have reportedly pulled their ads due to the controversy.

Twitch star Asmongold had even planned to do a stream with Saltman, claiming that there was information about the site that hadn’t even come to light yet.

“I don’t want to give much away, but he and I have talked about it. Not all the information that will come to light has come to light,” he said. “In fact, some of the most damaging information has not yet been made public.”

While Asmongold said he would switch to Rumble or Kick if Twitch banned him for his upcoming broadcast with Saltman, it doesn’t seem like this stream will be happening on the purple platform anyway.

On November 21, Saltman announced that he had been indefinitely banned from Twitch for “extreme harassment.”

“Today (Dan Clancy) suspended me indefinitely. “This happened immediately after I made a ‘data request’ to prepare for the deletion of my account, which likely prevented me from speaking to other YouTubers,” he said. “Twitch is feeling the heat, but it’s only getting hotter.”

In a follow-up message, Saltman said he had been broadcasting around the clock explaining how to take action against Twitch’s advertisers, and noted that he was immediately banned after submitting his request to have his account removed account.

Despite the setback, Saltman says he will continue his campaign.

“In the coming days and weeks, you will see significant progress in cracking the shell of this hateful organization. In the meantime, the best thing you can do is continue to call your local representatives and continue to reach out to advertisers to show them the hate that Twitch openly allows.”

As for the Asmongold stream, Saltman said the reason it hasn’t happened yet is because the streamer created a “big PowerPoint presentation” that he wanted to go through.

However, with Dan now banned, even appearing on Asmongold’s stream would violate the site’s community guidelines. So if the transfer were to take place, it would have to be on another platform.

We’ll have to wait and see what happens in the coming days and whether Asmongold decides to join Rumble or Kick to watch this expose stream.
