What happened to Magician Max at the Kai Cenat Subathon? Kai is angry when the prank goes wrong

Kai Cenat was left stunned after magician Max pulled off a huge stunt on his stream, potentially endangering his life and risking Kai being banned from Twitch or worse.

Kai is nearing the end of his month-long subathon called “Mafiathon 2” and has broken all sorts of records along the way.

Most importantly, at the time of writing, he is pushing almost 600,000 subscribers, a record that many would not have even thought possible.

However, his stream was interrupted in the early hours of Wednesday, November 27, when magician Max – also known as Max Major, who he has worked with in the past – attempted a stunt that put his own life in danger.

The magician Max’s “prank” risked his own life

Kai and his friends were taken to the basketball court, where Max was standing on a scaffold with three rope loops tied behind him. Each rope was attached to a ripcord that was placed in front of Kai, who had the choice of which color rope he wanted to pull.

After a test run, Kai only had two cords left, whereupon Max placed one around his neck and let Kai make the choice. He said he “knows he will make the right choice.”

Kai pulled the red string and Max rose into the air. Everyone present immediately became seriously disturbed when Kai told the crew to “put the camera down.”

When Kai returned to his setup, he found a note with a URL for a video in which Max explained that everything was premeditated and that he knew exactly what was going to happen.

Kai further explained that he had no idea what the trick would be when Max talked to him about it, he was just told that it would “break the internet.”

He added: “Max told my team that he ended up doing something completely different, it had nothing to do with it. “Then he did that.”

He spent about an hour thinking about the situation and tried to contact Max to get him to come back to explain, but the wizard refused all calls and would not return.

He eventually sent Kai a text saying, “Let the story be what it is” and that returning to the stream won’t change anything.

Kai faces backlash for stunt

Since the clip went viral, Kai has received backlash from both fans and critics who said he shouldn’t show this content on stream.

Some users shared the clip and claimed that Kai was in “full control” of what was happening, suggesting that he had been told what the cords were attached to and that he simply couldn’t have pulled them.

However, some argued that it was “not Kai’s fault” and therefore he should not come under fire as he and his team were misled.

Kai ultimately decided to go ahead and continue his stream as usual, even though the moment and everything that followed went viral in the hours that followed.

The streamer had some big moments throughout Mafiaathon 2 with some big celebrities, including Marlon Wayans and Chris Brown, and he hopes that doesn’t overshadow the overwhelmingly positive memories of his subathon.
